Is regularly taking anti-coagulation therapy (i.e. Warfarin)

Has a severe metabolic or systemic disorder

Is currently taking antibiotics such as aminoglycosides.

Reason: may interact with botulinum toxin and affect its effectiveness or safety.

Has had a previous adverse reaction such as ptosis. Treat with caution.

Is travelling long distance in the 24 hours after the procedure.

Reason: to assess for any immediate adverse reactions.

Is taking metabolism boosters or weight loss medications such as Duromine, Ozempic or Saxenda

Reason: may experience variations in the duration of product efficacy.

Is under the age of 18 - Should refer on for treatment for bruxism, migraines or Hyperhidrosis

Is pregnant or actively trying to become pregnant.

Treatment permitted for patients trying to become pregnant who are currently on their menstrual cycle. Patient should be advised they should not attempt to become pregnant in the 4 weeks following treatment.

Is breastfeeding

Has myasthenia Gravis or Eaton Lambert Syndrome

Has known allergies or hypersensitive to any of the ingredients in the formulation

Has active sunburn, eczema or psoriasis in the area to be injected.

Currently has an active infection in the area to be treated including acne papules/pustules.

Is regularly taking anti-coagulation therapy (i.e. Warfarin)

Has a stable autoimmune condition.

Reason: increased risk of delayed onset granulomas.

Has a medical history of herpes simplex. Consider prophylactic medication.

Is allergic to bee’s (anaphylactic to bees is contraindicated).

Reason: anatomical changes of vessels to be considered.

Is under the age of 18

Is pregnant, actively trying to become pregnant or is currently breastfeeding.

Is hypersensitive to any of the ingredients or is a known anaphylactic to bees.

Has received a COVID-19 or Influenza vaccine in the last 2 weeks or has these vaccinations planned within thevnext 2 weeks.

Reason: increased risk of delayed hypersensitivity and injection site reactions.

Is currently unwell and has a febrile status. E.g. Flu, sinusitis, UTI.

Has had any major dental work within the past 4 weeks or scheduled in the next 4 weeks.

Major dental work includes removal of wisdom teeth, root canal or any procedures related to the soft tissue, treatment of periodontists, veneers, crowns, bridges, dentures and the initial fitting of braces.

Has had minor dental work within the last 2 weeks or scheduled in the next 2 weeks.

Minor dental work includes scare and clean, routine tooth extractions, fillings and tooth whitening

Has an overseas flight booked within the following 14 days after treatment.

Reason: unable to assist in the instance of an adverse event.

Sculptra to the same area 12 weeks prior 12 weeks post treatment.

Reason: Increased risk of inflammatory nodules. Dermal filler and Sculptra to different areas of the face is permitted on the same day provided the patient is aware of which areas to massage, and which to avoid.

As Profhilo/Redensity 1 is not cross linked this is permitted on the same day. Cross linked dermal filler into a different plane (e.g periosteum) is permitted on same day.

Is planning on having cross linked dermal filler/biostimulators to the same plane within the next 12 week period.

Must wait 12 weeks after Rejuran® to treat in same plane with cross linked dermal filler or biostimulators.
